Start your mission and step back in time into Queenstown’s beautiful but lawless gold rush frontier! Our play at home Escape Room game has been developed in Queenstown, NZ by the same team who created Escape Quest in 2014. Similar to our Escape Rooms, we have created a game that uses real-life locations and people from Queenstown’s 1860’s Gold Rush!

Print, Play and Escape at work for a great team building experience!

Recommended to work in teams of 4 or race head to head in teams of 4 to see who escape first!

Play in your home/office or across homes/offices via Zoom.

Perfect for an awesome team building experience with colleagues.

Hybrid online/offline game – genuinely social and less screen time!

Clues are available throughout the game to keep you progressing at your own pace.

Fully recyclable and environmentally friendly.

Buy now, play later. No game expiry

Designed for Laptop/iPad sized screens.

HOW IT WORKS
  1. For Empire Escape only, download the app from the app store. The app provides access to the Augmented Reality puzzles. We recommend all team members download the app to their device but there must be at least 1 device per team in a physical location.

  2. For both Empire Escape and Missing Gold Escort, print the Mission Dossier PDF. Printing of dossier is not essential for Empire Escape but highly recommended. If in Queenstown, a printed Mission Dossier PDF can be picked up from Escape Quest for $5 extra (payable in store).

  3. Follow the Mission Dossier PDF instructions to cut out the puzzles. Allow 15-30 minutes to print and cut your Mission Dossier PDF before starting your mission.

  4. Bring your team of detectives together (physically or via Zoom). Each mission can accommodate as many people as you like but we suggest a printed Mission Dossier PDF per 4 people. Multiple teams of 4 can then work together or compete!

  5. Hit the “start” button online via your secret link.

  6. Using both the printed Mission Dossier PDF and the online game system (& app for Empire Escape), solve the puzzles and enter the correct codes. Allow 1.5-3 hours game time to complete your mission.

  7. Escape!

  • $30 NZD for Missing Gold Escort per game. No limit on team size!

  • $35 NZD for Empire Escape per game. No limit on team size!

Once everything is in the right place, that’s when the magic revealed itself”

Escape The Roomers, April 2021

“The puzzles were very creative for a print-n-cut game. There were times when we were making 3d models, visualizing things from different perspectives, strategizing escape routes and more! It had just the right amount of mixture of easy and hard puzzles”

Escape The Roomers, April 2021

“Wow! So much detail! Missing gold escort was a joy to play…the print + assemble aspect of this game was outstanding. I’ve played a lot of printable escape rooms and this one is one of the best.”
